Kings Highway

Workout for 080702:

I came home late from a 14-hr work day, the weather was fantastic, and I had some errands around town, so got on the bike and took off. After finishing the errands I had about 10kgs of misc stuff in my backpack, so decided to go the long way home. Ended up with an 18Km ride with some fairly heavy climbs. I can walk today though :-)

One of these days I’ll get to doing some real training :-o

Boring stats for future reference
Route: hmm, let's call it 8 :)
Trip: 18.13K
Time: 52:51m
Avg. Speed 20.58km/h
Max Speed: 39.5km/h

I love cycling. Last year I lost my driving liscence due to some weird health problem. Anyhow I ended up cycling 400 miles in 10 weeks with a big old bag on my back.

It was winter too…so I’m glad I got my drivers liscence back in January.

One of the benefits of biking it is that you get to shout abuse at car drivers, which is always a bonus.

Hehe, abusing drivers is always fun, also being passed by professional cyclers. You don’t hear them until they go swooosh around you, then they’re off over the horizon :-)

I swear, if you don’t get off your bike and start doing some CrossFit I’m going to be forced to start singing “I want to ride my bicycle”! :P
